It took 3 visits and all I could get out of them was that it was a configuration problem BUT we finally have access to the internet from home and I no longer have to sit in the car at the end of the road.
Now all I have to do is work out how to get the phone working and we'll feel as if we have re-join the human race in the 21st century.

patience and you will get there.
God must have listened when you said "all I want for xmas is broadband".
Enjoy your xmas, wishing the very best for the forthcoming year.

All WE want for Christmas is to get rid of this persistant AVG VUNDO VIRUS that, despite all C's efforts, is STILL on our main PC but, thankfully, NOT on this netbook.
Wishing you,Niel and the boys a very Happy Christmas in your new home.
I'll guess that swanky new stove will be tested to it's limits later this week but, hopefully, not the heating system!
After a couple of visits from an engineer, weilding various spanners and guages, our 21 year old boiler spluttered back into life after burping and groaning for the best part of a month. It should now keep us warm and showered into January when we will have to install a new one.
I'm looking forwards to a full report on your first Christmas in the Spanish countryside and a 2010 filled with lots more blogging and pics.
