But every now and then the weather closes in rapidly and we watch the distant hills vanish one after one.
Every now and then, we lose all the hills and the world just seems to end 10m from our front door.
Weird feeling!

Yes the mist is really eerie, last autumn, our son was with us in Spain. He decided to go jogging just as the mist was starting to close in and it was getting dark... just plugged in his ipod and went for it! I was pacing the floor waiting for him to come back, wanting to send out a search party! I was so relieved when he came running up our hill, he couldn't understand why I was so worried!
I can imagine how worried you were, I feel the same when the dogs go out and vanish into the mist.
